A human death trap- The Ceiling fan
The strange ceiling fans is not a bad thing at all as it can be used instead of air con..
The ceiling fan actually has many uses ranging from the traditional keeping the room cool to the horrible suicide.
So how on earth does someone end up wearing one of these for a hat? Well if left without a look in, over time the fastenings on the actual fan can wear down and start to loosen up which then of course ends up ripping the fan off the ceiling altogether ending up as a nice hat for anyone sitting underneath.
There are many people that will end thier lives by using a ceiling fan. The majority of suicides are from hangings as the fan is often the highest point in the room..
The biggest myth about the ceiling fan is that it can actually behead somebody. It has been show in many films which is why people may think it can happen.. The television programme Mythbusters proved that by using a replica dummy of the human head that the blade would certainly tear the throat open which of course would lead to death but the fan could not actually behead anyone, which asks the question, where does all of this stuff about fan heaters and ceiling fans originate from?
It was likely used in one film then taken and used many many times.. So although many people have suffered their demises from the ceiling fan over the years it is very unlikely that anyone has been properly beheaded.
There are more uses for the ceiling fan than faults just like portable humidifiers and Air purifier can actually be more useful to you than deadly. So why not actually go out there and purchase a ceiling fan, they are pretty useful and will not do you any harm, most of the time
